Sean Scully Featured in ‘Ground Zero 360 – Remembrance’ at the New York City Fire Museum

‘Ground Zero 360 – Remembrance’ is now open at the New York City Fire Museum in New York, marking 25 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center. Organised in collaboration with Ground Zero 360, the exhibition brings together works by 19 artists in remembrance of those who lost their lives and the city’s ongoing process of recovery and rebuilding.

Among the artists featured is Sean Scully, whose work offers a thoughtful meditation on grief, recovery and rebuilding. Scully’s practice explores the emotional and spiritual possibilities of abstraction, using bands, blocks and fields of colour to investigate the relationship between structure, perception and feeling. His work is presented alongside that of Jeff Koons, Jasper Johns, Jenny Saville, James Turrell, Thomas Ruff, Kara Walker, Yoko Ono, Maggi Hambling, James Surls, Sedrick Huckaby, Bono, Brian Maguire, Antonio López García, Luis Gordillo, Eamon Colman and Nicola McClean.
