Pedro Reyes Featured in ‘Homeroom: Artists Against the Bomb’ at MoMA PS1

‘Homeroom: Artists Against the Bomb’ is now on view at MoMA PS1 in New York, presenting the work of artists supporting the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). Organised by Estudio Pedro Reyes and ICAN, the exhibition brings together an international selection of artistic contributions advocating for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

Among the artists featured is Pedro Reyes, whose practice spans sculpture, installation, performance and social engagement, often exploring the relationship between art, collective action and political change. Through initiatives that bring people together around shared concerns, Reyes considers the potential of creative practice to address urgent social and political issues. The presentation includes contributions by artists with ties to MoMA PS1, including Regina José Galindo, Nani Chacón, Carlos Amorales, Frieda Toranzo Jaeger, Art & Language and Laura Anderson Barbata, alongside newly produced works.

‘Homeroom: Artists Against the Bomb’ is organised by Estudio Pedro Reyes and ICAN, recipient of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for its work developing the TPNW.
