Lisson is pleased to announce New Work: 2026, Tishan Hsu’s first solo exhibition in Piraeus, Greece, presented in collaboration with The Intermission and on view through 19 December 2026.

The exhibition brings together new works incorporating AI-generated imagery manipulated by the artist. Images of ear-like orifices emerge within industrial and pastoral landscapes, combining bodily forms with references to the built and natural environments. Using UV-cured inkjet printing, screenprinting and silicone casting, Hsu applies these images to rounded, screen-like supports, a format he has employed since the 1980s. Vibrant colours applied to their reverse evoke the glow of a digital screen.

Since the mid-1980s, Hsu has examined the intersections of organic and artificial life, tracing the shifting boundaries between humanity and technology. By bringing the body into dialogue with the natural world, these works extend his investigation into the relationship between physical and virtual experience, and the ways in which technological developments shape our understanding of ourselves and our surroundings.

Hsu lives and works in New York. Recent solo exhibitions include presentations at the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto and MAMCO, Geneva, in 2024, and Secession, Vienna, in 2023–24.
