Lisson Artists Featured in ‘Style is the Body Thinking’ at SAIC Galleries, Chicago

From 31 August – 5 December 2026, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago presents ‘Style is the Body Thinking’, a group exhibition curated by Michelle Grabner featuring Lisson artists Rodney Graham, Julian Opie and Tony Oursler.

Bringing together more than 50 international artists, the exhibition explores iterations of style, portraiture and figuration in contemporary art, considering their relationship to identity, power, labour, resistance, taste, the body, technology and affect from the 1960s to the present. Across a range of practices and approaches, the exhibition investigates how style can operate as a form of expression, shaping perceptions of the self and the surrounding world.
